POP.ED

Empowering youth to think critically, embrace diversity, and take active roles in shaping a better future.

In a rapidly changing world, young people need more than traditional education to understand global challenges and actively shape their communities. POP.ED is an innovative international project designed to bridge this gap by combining Global Citizenship Education (GCE) with the dynamic influence of pop culture.

By connecting education with music, media, film, and digital trends, POP.ED makes learning more engaging, relatable, and accessible for young people across diverse backgrounds.

Why POP.ED Matters

Today’s youth are deeply influenced by pop culture. POP.ED leverages this powerful connection to:

  • Strengthen civic awareness

  • Encourage active participation in society

  • Promote intercultural understanding

  • Foster critical thinking and global awareness

Through this approach, the project transforms learning into an interactive and meaningful experience, empowering young people to become active global citizens.

Objectives

POP.ED aims to make Global Citizenship Education more relevant and impactful by integrating innovative youth work methods with creative expression. The project focuses on:

  • Enhancing critical thinking skills

  • Supporting democratic participation

  • Building intercultural dialogue

  • Raising awareness of global issues

  • Encouraging inclusive and co-creative youth engagement

Through cross-border cooperation, the project will develop:

  • Practical learning tools

  • A 10-unit curriculum

  • An NFE Toolkit for youth workers

  • Training and pilot activities

  • A multimedia Youth Manifesto

This manifesto will amplify young people’s voices and support dialogue with decision-makers.
