Needs analysis report
“Body Liberation for Gender Equality” is a needs analysis report exploring body image pressures, body shaming, and experienced weight bias among young women in Latvia, Czechia, and Cyprus. The report approaches body image as a gendered social issue that affects young women’s wellbeing, participation, and equality. Within Erasmus+ and youth work contexts, these topics remain difficult to address despite their strong influence on wellbeing, participation, and equality. The report identifies key gaps in support systems and offers practical recommendations to strengthen bodily autonomy and inclusion in youth work and beyond.
